I understand sleeping is very important in bodybuilding. Exactly how much sleep is needed to be fully restored? I usually get 8 to 9 hours. Is more needed?

It's been said for your body to fully repair you need at least 8-9hours of sleep. I personally have a problem with that much sleep. It has the reverse effect on me. Instead of feeling rested, I am more tired and lethargic. My body and mind functions better on about 5hours of sleep.

Proper rest is a "must have" in BBing! Your body needs time to repair what you tore up in the gym. Of course 8 hours is the best amount but if you can only get 6 then try to take a 45 minute nap during your lunch hour....You need rest to grow!!!
