I just read a really good article in MMI about the roid bust and how it may or may not affect BBing.
What are your thoughts?? Do you think it will level the playing field or do you think that the pro's will shrink??

There will always be steriods in BB. It's a "big" story right now, but by the beginning of next year something else will come up to take the focus off this issue. It's a well known secret steriods is rampant in bb but thus far it hasn't hit it hard. Yes, there has been arrests over recent years, but nothing as big as in WWE. It's a wait and see situation imo

From what I understand, the DEA isn't going after the users so much as the dealers!!! Besides most BBers get there juice legally....They just have the "right" doctor!!!

But if they start targeting "the users", sooner or later they will get to those who supply. And doctors have been busted for supplying to their patients. You give a large quantities often to the same patient, red flags are raised.

We know they aren't stupid. But you can prescribe someone something that will last them 3months and then do the same again a few weeks later. It happened in the Benoit case and now they are looking at his doctor as his supplyer. Even in the case of Anna Nicole, her doctor has been indicted for over prescribing meds to her. What about Bonds, they are looking at his doctors as well. It happens. So yes, doctors and bb can be smart, but records do not lie. How do you explain away your medical history

And I know what you're saying. They may not get it from the same doc. But that is not neccassary. The DEA can just look at one docs records, see something to set off alarms and that will do. It's been done before. They probably have done so already, it takes time to build a case like this. Sometimes years, but with steriods being big in the news lately, they might not have to wait.

The DEA doesn't see it as a waste of time. And yes, if you want something, you can always find it. It's a matter of getting the "real" thing though. So as a pro(in any sport that is using) they know the dangers. If they are smart, they will seek out the best advice and product. Hence them going to a medical doctor. The DEA knows this. So targeting doctors is in essence then not a waste of time.

True story, but they also want to get the labs that are making it as well....esp, the ones overseas!!! I know it is going to get real expensive and dangerous to do any roids....then it will all die down and they will have a hard- on for something else....lol

So targeting the doctors( they are the ones that will get the best for their clients) will give them a lead into the overseas market. Remember, there's not just one doctor doing this. But if you target their clients, they will find out where they get it from... from there they trace a path to the maker

What a few steriod users have told me is that if ya know a gay guy they can get get you steriods and they can buy or sell it to users. Then your name doesn't get put on any records when ya get the roids
