Well I went to the Arnold over the weekend and it was great! I got to meet or at least see everyone, the big names anyway, that I wanted to meet.
I have to admit though I had a strange thing happen. I met Lee Priest and had plans of maybe asking if I could get a picture taken with him. The strange thing was that when I saw him I walked over and asked about a autographed photo, I got that, and started talking to him and was very impressed by the fact that he would talk to a regular guy like me. Also he is, in person, just like he is on the forums and in interviews. He doesnt put up a front or pretend to be anything, he is Lee Priest, always. That just blew me away. I was very impressed. He appears to be a good guy, on the forums and in interviews because he is. He is alot like the rest of us regular people its just that he has better genetics and is famous, thats all.
I have talked to famous and semi-famous people before and had an Idea of what to expect and that wasnt what I got. I expected to get the usual public act that they all have and display, when in public. I didnt expect Lee Priest to be any other way, was I wrong. He doesnt do that and I felt like I was talking to another regular guy that just happens to be famous. I was very impressed and forgot about getting a photo of Lee Priest and me or almost anything else.
That was definately a high point in my trip to the Arnold this weekend! I just thought Id post my impression. Did anyone else have a good Time there? . . . . . . . .Red
