I spent this morning going through some of my magizines and I have to say the times from the older magazines were much better than they are now. I don't even bother with MD anymore, Kai Green, silvio, no bash talking them but I don't admire ONE physique in that entire magazine let alone theire personalites. The old muslemags and flex were great though! Mike Francois,Wheeler,Eddie Robinson the names are endless! and it just seems that there is so much reading material in there compared to now.

Yeah I noticed that as well. Back when BB was for the luv of the sport, you can tell the difference in the magazines.

There's such a diffirence now...I used to love reading about the bb's back then. They showcased more shows in the mags, had articles on their lives, tons of pics of almost every bb (even up and coming ones). Now it's ads and just more ads. What there is to read is mundane and sometimes just complete crap. Don't buy them anymore, just read a buddy's mags ;D

I only buy MD.
I like it for thier pro articles in the back. Dennis Wolf, Baranch Warren, and Markus Ruhl mainly.
I like Muscle Mag only for Lee's article thats about it.
But yea i wish they focused more on training and the athletes themselves, than ADVERTISEMENTS!!! Sheesh i do not need to see the same product in 10 diffrent ads.

The physiques were so much "crisper" and more like what a bodybuilder should look like in the 90s and there were many pros to look up to......but i wonder if many of the same things were happening then as they are now such as "pose for pay" and the other porns and drug scenes going on? If it did happen then im sure not nearly as much as now.

The articles are better and more scientific! But, the old mags did have more pics and more personal type articles. Its a balance, and they try hard to give the readers what they want...If you write to MMI's editor's and tell them what you want and they will try....
